ABC Europe

ABC Europe is a project which promotes validated tools which supports SME’s within the life science industry. Through exchange of experiences, companies and clusters from different regions can inspire and learn lessons from each other.

ABC Europe involves 11 regions across Europe and Israel. The project ends in 2012.

How does it work?

ABC Europe uses different tools – most of which have a strong internationalisation purpose:

  • tech showcases where early innovations can be shown so as to increase the speed with which they may reach market;
  • boot camps, i.e. intensive training camps which can last for a couple of days, where less experienced entrepreneurs can improve their management skills, for instance;
    involving  experienced business competences so that they join the board or the industry advisory board of newly-formed companies;
  • increasing the competencies of cluster organisations by promoting visits where experience and knowledge can be exchanged;
  • expanding Tools of Science to a European level;
  • increasing knowledge on intellectual property regulations work in an international level;
  • creating cooperation opportunities between different life science companies;
  • creating an ambassador program with a European focus.

Who is behind the project?

The Milano Chamber of Commerce steers ABC Europe, while Stockholm Science City leads a number of its subprojects.
